How to Design a Simple ID card Using CorelDraw


CorelDraw is creative software for graphic and satisfactory designs.
Below are steps to design simple ID card using CorelDraw?
§  Start your CorelDraw application to create a new blank document.
§  Use your Rectangle tool to make a rectangular box that fits the page and to draw other two rectangles placing one at the top other at the middle as thus;
§  You may give the boxes any color of your choice from the color palettes at the right hand side of the work space. You can also access that by: Clicking on window and selecting color palettes. The first rectangular box at the top is meant to contain your company’s name and contact information; the box at the middle is where the passport will be placed which can be given any color preferably white while the left over space at the bottom on the first box is for the staff’s name and position.
§  Type the company’s name and contact information by clicking on text tool at the left hand side of the workspace and give it a good front style and color.
§  Importing your passport photograph by clicking import, browse through the files and select your desired file and hit on ‘’ Import’’ and insert the picture by click on the workspace. After importing, re-size the image to fit the middle box.
§  Type the Holder’s name and position while giving it a good font style and color of your choice.
Placing the imported and re-sized image by Power clipping-Select the image by clicking the image then, from the Menu Bar, click Effects>Power Clip>Place Inside Container. Use the thick arrow to click the box to firmly place your photo inside the box.
